As someone who loves to ride, I wanted to create a practice that protects the ability of others to do the same. Mountain Motiv3 grew from refining what actually supports long seasons of riding and narrowing it down to what works consistently in real life.
My background is in physical therapy and human performance. I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, and I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Mountain Motiv3 is the result of that experience and is the practice I teach and use myself to continue riding without breaking down.
Mountain Motiv3 began during my work as a physical therapist when I noticed a consistent pattern across the athletes I worked with. These athletes performed well in their sport but often lacked competency in the foundational movements that supported it.
They could perform at a high level, but were doing so inefficiently. They were wasting energy, placing unnecessary stress on their bodies, and were experiencing frequent flare-ups of pain and overuse injuries because of this.
By working with these athletes, I began refining a simple approach focused on practicing the foundational movements common to their sport. Over time, this approach consistently helped athletes move better, recover more effectively, and sustain their performance with fewer setbacks.
As this process evolved, I began applying the same practice to my own training as a mountain biker.
The results were the same. Riding felt smoother. Fatigue was easier to manage. My body became more resilient to the demands of long rides and full seasons.
I realized this practice could help other mountain bikers ride longer with fewer setbacks. By keeping the sessions simple, riders could focus on the next ride rather than being consumed by complex training plans.
In 20-minutes, riders could reinforce the patterns their bodies depend on without stealing energy from their time on the bike. They could ride more consistently, recover more effectively, and maintain their performance without breaking down.
Mountain Motiv3 became the durability practice built specifically for mountain bikers.
Simple enough to repeat.
Strong enough to support decades of riding.
Start Training So You Can Ride Hard For Decades
It’s my specific method for helping you ride hard without breaking down. I focus on building a body that can handle the high-intensity and high-mileage weeks you love. My goal is to help you ride more often while hurting less from the repetitive stress of mountain biking.
No. Physical therapy is medical care designed to treat pain, injuries, or clinical conditions. Mountain Motiv3 is performance coaching. I use my background as a Doctor of Physical Therapy to inform my coaching methods, which focus on improving your power, movement efficiency, and long-term durability on the trail.
No. I am actually talking about the cost of being a mountain biker. I program specifically for muscle soreness, heavy leg fatigue, and those nagging aches that usually follow a big day in the saddle. I want you to wake up the day after a hard ride feeling ready to go again instead of being sidelined by stiffness.
Most riders wait until they have a tweak or nagging pain to think about strength. We do the work now so those issues never start. It’s about being a robust athlete rather than just a person who rides.
20-minutes per session. The goal is to keep you on your bike, not in the gym. These sessions are streamlined to be the minimum effective dose needed to see results without eating into your precious riding time.
None. I built this program so you can develop professional-grade durability in your living room using just your body weight.
For the gear-lovers:
If you already have a gym or want to add equipment to your training, every session includes optional equipment progressions. I provide specific guidance on how to integrate:
Free weights (dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells)
Resistance bands
Suspension trainer systems (TRX straps)
Pull-up bars
Benches or Boxes
Sliders
Foam rollers
Lacrosse balls
Whether you're traveling with zero gear or training in a fully-stocked gym, the practice stays the same.
Yes. For riders who want professional eyes on their movement, I offer a limited number of 1:1 coaching sessions. In these sessions, we identify your specific mechanical leaks in efficiency and work on mastering your movement foundations so you can get the most out of every ride. These sessions are available by inquiry only.
